The device is a
needle that has the quality to avoid accidents, since once activated the
protection mechanism this covers the cannula totally and forces that all the
device must be discarded avoiding its reusability.
It consists of a
traditional cannula for the application or extraction, this device
incorporates 2 concentric cylinders that form a telescopic system which are
actioned by internal spring compressed, then when the spring is actioned,
causes the displacement of the external cylinder on the internal one and in
this way the cannula is covered totally.
I
have to emphasize that the external cylinders once it reaches his extreme
position is joined by a set of expansible flanges those that do that this
cylinder is in a fixed position and can neither advance nor back down doing
that the cannula is left protected and unusable.
Also it´s important to mention that for his
initial use it is exposed since the cylinders (before being activated) are
positioned in the first part of the device allowing in this way to the
person who handle it to operate in a traditional way.
Another
data that could be interesting is that the device offers a previous side
with the conicity necessarily to be fitting in any standard syringe without
any need of modification or adaptation. |
